Welcome to the official website for the Boyette Springs Special Dependent District (the "District"). This website is funded on behalf of the District to serve two major purposes. The first is to comply with Chapter 189.069 of the Florida Statutes, which requires each special district to maintain an official internet website. The second is an effort to help educate the general public about the services provided by the District.
Welcome to Boyette Springs Special Dependent District (BSSDD) website. Our mission is to beautify the entrances to Boyette Springs and to maintain the exterior of the subdivision walls. The Board contracts for landscaping and lighting services, holiday décor, and other services as required.
Boyette Springs Special Dependent District Disclosure
Please be advised that the Boyette Springs Special Dependent District (the “District”), a local unit of special purpose government created under Florida law, has constructed and is responsible for the maintenance of certain improvements, infrastructure and facilities within the District. The District financed this construction through the assessment and collection of a Special District Assessment. As a result, and in accordance with applicable federal and state law, all District owned improvements, infrastructure and facilities are and shall remain open and accessible to the general public. Should you have any questions on this matter, non-resident user fees applicable to District recreational facilities, or any other general District issue, please feel free to contact the District Manager.
The Board consists of seven volunteer Trustees appointed or selected to one of the selected seats. Volunteers must live in Boyette Springs.
The regular public monthly meetings of the Board are held at the Clarkson Allstate Insurance office on Boyette road in Riverview at 7:00pm on the second Wednesday of each month.

The fiscal year for BSSDD is October 1st through September 30th. Revenue is from the annual assessments paid by each property in Boyette Springs. The current annual assessment is $70.00 and is collected by Hillsborough County with other non-ad valorem taxes. Each year the Board creates a tentative budget that is posted on the BSSD website at least 2 days before the Public Budget Hearing (held in July). The budget is approved at the Public Budget hearing which includes setting the annual assessment rate. The Audit Report for the most recent completed fiscal year is posted on this website. the link to read the BSSDD's Annual Financial report is https://logerx.myfloridacfo.gov/logerx/login The final adopted budget is posted on this website. the Board of County Commissioners must approve the District's approved budget each year.
